The AIDESCOM – Santa María la Real de Nieva Association (Intermunicipal Association for the Local Development of the Region of Santa María La Real de Nieva) was formed in August 1994 as a non-profit association with the goal of making overall development of the Segovian countryside possible.

At AIDESCOM, rural development is seen as a complete process. Action is taken, quite directly, with the guidance of the Group itself or by supporting entrepreneurs (individuals and institutions) from all economic and social sectors, given that the territory is not thought of as a group of disperse and independent elements; rather, all of the sectors and social and economic actors are interrelated and any change made by one has repercussions for the others.
