FLUVIAL LEDGES

Some sections of the river flow through mountain areas with erodible substrates whose bed moulds canyons, narrowing the current and creating ravines. The ravines from the Riaza, Duratón, Lobos, Ebro and Duero rivers stand out. Apart from their charm and beautiful landscapes, they are important because they house lithophytic species like the Griffon Vulture, Egyptian Vulture, Black Stork, Peregrine Falcon, Blue Rock Thrush or the Red-billed Chough.
