Justification for our participation in the TRINO project

Our LAG possesses a total surface area of 2,327.31 km², spread out across 67 municipalities belonging to three regions: the Campo Charro region, with its great natural and scenic value due to the presence of a large portion of the Charra holm oak meadow; the Alba de Tormes region, in which part of the banks of the river basin of the River Tormes, which has been named a Site of Community Interest (LIC in Spanish) are found, as well as a large part of the Campos de Alba ZEPA (Special Protection Area for Birds); and in the Guijuelo region, there is the Santa Teresa dam, with its great bird and nature value for the environment. In all, our regions have 30,968 inhabitants and an area of 14.11 km² included in the Natura 2000 ecology network.
